Does the top of the Bouji Ottoman open up to allow use as a storage bench?

Hello, would this support body weight of 2 adults if used as a bench/seat?

We would advise occasional use only for this item as a seat as the structure is not designed to hold the weight of two adults and is intended principally as a footstool.
