Those fluffy white stems cropping up in all your fave Insta interiors (and a few celeb birthdays)? Pampas grass is everywhere right now. Brought to our homes in the 70s, this retro plant’s been making a serious comeback. From wedding Pinterest board staple to homeware must-have, it’ll add depth and texture to your space, whatever the size or style (plus, you can’t kill it like you killed that Monstera.) Scroll on for 9 of our favourite fan pics.
Fluffy cushions and fluffy pampas sprigs? Check. @ellenbrockyhome knows a thing or two about texture. That smooth velvet sofa, revival-style coffee table and statement rug pull this whole look together.
Did you know that pampas grass comes in different colours? You do now. @b.acisse.jhome’s dyed orange bunch pairs perfectly with that terracotta wall, and pops against the white one behind. Bye peonies, we’ve met someone new.
Pampas doesn’t have to be subtle. @blerandablair’s arranged these tall, statement stems next to an antique mirror and Kooper’s dramatic velvet curves. No wonder it’s “Biggie’s favourite corner.” (We’re sure he’s happier than he looks.)
We’re loving @_itsniusha_’s natural vibes – she’s created the ultimate zen den with all those textures and muted tones, rounded off with a single shoot of pampas. The result? Total spa-like bliss.
Hello, romance. Check out this pink palace, with its rose-washed walls and matching velvet seating. Styled with dark wood, brass, and a pop of coral-coloured pampas, it’s safe to say we’re in love.
Those lush green houseplants are a trend in themselves, don’t you know. @alieselotte’s serene scenes create “an oasis of wellbeing” – we all need that right now. Pampas grass brings height and texture into the mix, and stops the room looking too cluttered.
Dinner table need an upgrade? Enter pampas grass. Paired with faux fur, tonal serveware and rustic wooden accents, just a few subtle sprigs complete this cosy Nordic look. And it’ll work all year round, too.
Pink + brass + pampas = an Instagram dream. @that.scandi.girl gets it right with this luxe, Scandinavian-inspired setup (as if her handle didn’t give it away). Just add your favourite book and a homemade iced coffee. Await likes.
@marejia’s trick? Make it vintage. Or at least make it look like it is. Those sprigs of pampas on a cane cantilever chair? So mid-century modern. And that velvet sofa’s the ultimate retro must-have.
