Jory takes its design cue from the 70s with its sleek lines and walnut and oak veneer finish. Where else would you find storage like this at such a great price?

Really love this product, perfect for the bedroom alcove in our 1930s house. Lovely walnut/oak combination. Can be used as a desk/makeup table and even as a baby changing station. Easy to install (requires two people).
Took a while to arrive but pleased with the desk.
Purchased a Jory Modular Desk, Walnut and Oak. Easily assembled and looks fantastic. Great value and customer service, will be purchasing from made.com again.
Finally received this last week after umming and ahhing about it. Do I spend more and buy vintage? Do I spend less and buy the Ikea version, immediacy v. long wait? Anyway it's here, I'm a reasonably competent DIY'er but its not complicated. Screw two batons to the wall, add brackets, then shelf/desk et voila. However I found the instructions a bit basic. It would have been extremely helpful to have a guide on the height from the floor to the bottom of the bracket to achieve a 72cm or whatever the standard desk height is. Instead I had to google this, then mark on the wall, attach both batons, then put the desk in position to try and get the correct height. I ended up dropping the desk and damaging the corner which was really upsetting. Thankfully its barely noticeable. NOTE this is a two man job! Then when I thought I'd got everything OK, I put in the final baton screws but my wall wasn't flat screwing in tight bent everything out of shape and it was less wide at the top than the bottom and the top shelves didn't fit even though the desk did! loosening the baton screws adding the shelves and then re-screwing to the final position resolved that problem. I'm not mad on veneer and ultimately its the thing I don't like about it. The drawers are shallow as to be a bit pointless but deep enough to fit in all your electrical crap. I like the style, options on an additional shelf and perhaps a magazine shelf would have been welcomed. I don't know if the weight would have been too much though? This is a very very heavy item hence the damage when I dropped it. Luckily my walls are concrete. The desk is a good depth though for the laptop. It suits my room and its half the price of a Danish rosewood option from Ebay. I'm pretty happy and finally after years I'm not working from the dining table!
wall mounted. no clutter on the floor and doesn't visually impair on the floor size of the room.
