What is a double bed?

Unlike a normal single bed, a double bed offers more space and is also often longer. Perfect for couples or those who like to stretch out while they sleep. It is also the most common and widely available size for most bed typed in the UK. 

What size is a double bed?

Standard double beds are 135 cm (4 feet 6 inches) in width and 190 cm (6 feet 3 inches) in length. In total, they are 1 foot 6 inches wider than a standard single bed. Please note that in order to perfectly fit our handmade mattresses, we made our internal double bed frames 2 cm bigger in width and length. 

What size is a small double bed?

If you want more space than a standard single bed, opt for one of our small double beds. With a length of 120 cm (4 feet) and a width of 190 cm (6 feet 3 inches), this bed size will give you plenty of space to roll around. 

What type of double beds are there?
